Hello under the Buck Moon,
July’s full moon rose in the middle of the day for many of us, but by evening it hung heavy and golden, watching the antlers grow and the thunderstorms roll. This is the moon of sudden strength and summer energy—perfect for pushing new tracks out into the world.
Moon lore
Named by Algonquin peoples for the time when male deer push out their new velvet-covered antlers. Growth can reach half an inch a day—one of the fastest tissue growth rates in the animal kingdom. Colonial Americans also called it the Thunder Moon for the frequent summer storms, while others knew it as the Hay Moon or Salmon Moon depending on what the land and rivers were offering.
New & recent releases
The catalog keeps expanding under this energetic light. Forever My Love, The Pimple Song, and Ah Woe Ah Me are all live and ready for streaming, with the Full Moon Friends and Lunar Odd Squad characters continuing to multiply. We’re deep in production on the next wave of character-driven tracks and multilingual lyric packages—more news soon under the next full moon.
Full Moon Favorites
For each full moon cycle, I add another artist performance to our Full Moon Favorites page. There you’ll find a growing collection of inspiring music videos.
Thank you for being here. Whether you’re a fellow night-time creator or a casual moon lover — I’m really glad you’re part of this small circle.
We’ll do this again on the next full moon (Sturgeon Moon on August 28). Until then, I hope the Buck Moon brings you a little extra magic.
With warmth under the same Full Moon,
Chris
